Why I Chose Permanent Jewelry....And You Should Too

My journey with permanent jewelry began at the 2023 Christmas Gift and Hobby Show. I bought a beautiful gold bracelet because the owner was a hell of a sales lady. I never really wore bracelets because I have sensory issues. Most bracelets would end up in my pocket an hour into my day because I hated them. When Melissa approached me, I explained this, and she convinced me that this bracelet would be the exception. I don't know why, but I believed her. A zap later, and I am in love with this bracelet, and I want more.
Early 2024, I had the idea that I wanted to own a permanent jewelry business....that is until I researched how much it would cost to start up. YIKES. I abandoned the idea rather quickly. Around Christmas that year, I began to get the idea again that I needed to own a permanent jewelry business. I just started with research. I spent two months looking at metal types, chain trends, welders, how to use argon, all of it. In March, I finalized my branding and bought equipment. Launched my social media pages in May. By June I was launching my business to the public. There were a lot of uncertainties in there, but I knew I wanted more people to have access to permanent jewelry, to me it was the best thing since sliced bread.
Here are a few other reasons you should consider getting permanent jewelry yourself:
It's accessible jewelry
One of my favorite client interactions was with this group of sisters. They had been looking for a local permanent jewelry artist because one sister was blind. Since the passing of her husband, she wasn't able to put on or remove bracelets. Her two sisters gifted her this experienc,e and they all left with matching pieces.
It can be meaningful
I have heard so many beautiful and bittersweet stories behind people's pieces. From graduations, to divorces, to matching with your best friend... a piece in unique to you and your journey.
It is convenient
No more fighting lobster claw clasps. It's on there, baby. Its not going anywhere soon.
Its custom
Going back to my initial point, you will never have a more comfortable bracelet than a permanent bracelet. It is custom-made to fit your wrist. You can also create a one-of-a-kind look by customizing with charms or mixing chains.
